I have been taking it for four weeks. It was given to me to help with anxiety but it has just made it much worse and is why I don't want to be on it. It messes up sleep patterns, for instance, I only had about an hour of sleep last night. I have to get off of the medicine though because I believe it is sustaining the anxiety I have, and the only way is by tapering off because if I just stop taking it I get panic attacks, crying a lot, feeling like i'm going crazy, etc. It also gives me muscle twitches and dilated pupils which makes me senstive to light. I'm actually scared because I am not sure if these symptoms will go away. I had a bad panic attack with the medicine and during the attack I got depersonalization which is a feeling of being outside your body and it is very disturbing. I regret taking the medicine.
> Talk to your doc, of course, since he may be able to give you an add-on to either improve the Geodon experience or the withdrawal from it. It should help to taper, though, and you can break the capsules and dump some out. You can actually lick it off your fingers since it has practically no taste. How long have you been on it? Has it been any help at all?

First of all, I missed a dose of it a few weeks ago and the sudden shock to my body of not having it gave me a really horrible panic attack, and my anxiety has been really high ever since taking it. The only problem is is that it seems impossible for me to stop taking it cold turkey because the withdrawal is an extremely scary experience, and I really hate geodon. Is there a way to taper off of it by taking smaller doses ever week? Or can you dilute the capsules in water? Thanks.
