chemist here....comments delineated with ***, and all the best.....
> I've tried all the above for social phobia. Klonopin, of course works great for the anxiety. So does Nardil, but I had to stop due to side effects and scary manic episode. The other benzos seem to work, too.

> To date, klonopin + adderall seems to have the best anti-anxiety and prosocial effect. But stimulants are neurotoxic, tolerance is gained easily, and the comedown from adderall sucks.
*** neurotoxic means no comeback from present situation - or worse. if you are not pushing anything stonger than adderall or dexedrine, you have to worry about tolerance, side-effects, and dependence, not neurotoxicity*****
>> So my questions are:
>
> 1) for those who have used the klono + stimulant combo for SP, how do do I keep the effects more constant?
**** i do xanax + dexedrine, but that's just what works for me. might go to an extended-release version of the stimulant, and klonopin gets up to speed nicely with only a few weeks (or days) of playing with the right dose for you*********
>
> 2) Does memantine really work to stop tolerance and neurotoxicity of stimulants?**** kind of. memantine is a derivative of adamantine, which binds very nicely to neuronal nicotine receptors, which are implicated in mood disorders (schizophrenia) and, more specifically for this drug (memantine), anti-parkinson's, so expect some tardive dyskinesia. almost all stimulants - from methylphenidate to epibatidine to amphetamine to nicotine - bind to the same receptro as memantine. i leave it to you to find the K_{i}s for these drugs - i cannot divulge for other than (S)-nicotine - to determine is memantine will displace a stimulant from the receptor in question*****

***see 2 above (dexedrine + xanax) ******
> 4) Does magnesium supplementation help at all?
>
**** maybe, but calcium is the key cation in the receptor we are talking about*****
