as with most things scientific, the answer is ``it depends.'' the bright light is that klonopin is not the nightmare that xanax or valium presents. as i have said before, taper *at you own pace*, and at your comfort level. your doctor might not agree, but it is your body, your mind, and your mental health. go down as much as you can tolerate, if there is rebound, bump-up slightly for a few days, then go down again. you are far from the xanax/valium and many SSRIs (first and second generation) withdrawl effects...please keep in touch, and all the best, chemist
