I'm not sure how it would affect your other symptoms, but you might try desipramine for ADD. This is a generic drug that your insurance company should not have a problem with. My insurance company currently applies a $50 monthly copay to both Ambien and Strattera--what a ripoff. Beyond that, I agree that it might be better to make a fresh start with another doctor, as it seems like your current one may be harboring some prejudices against you.
