My son introduction to Zypexa was last Aug/Sep (2003). After being on Zyprexa for 1 mo., we took a ride in our Mustang Convertible. Halfway thru the ride he complained that his throat was bothering him and could we stop for water. We stopped at the next jiffy mart for bottled water and he drank a bottle pacing back and forth.
He told the Psy Dr about it on the next visit to which the Dr rxd Klonopin for "panic attack". He is improved much now and using Zyprexa and Zoloft ditching the Klonopin months ago. Two weeks ago he said he still gets panic attack. He pointed to his throat and explained it was difficult to swallow. We have just been through a Barium swallow test to which the tester acknowledged he had trouble with swallowing. That was this morning. Just now I read on a web site that Zyprexa can cause swallowing difficulties. It Would have been nice to know that last August!
