Yes, it is common for people to get more depressed on the weekends, because they slow down.
You can redefine your idea of the weekends. You can view it as a time you get to cook or clean for the up coming week. You can view it as a time to get more rest. You can take time to read a book, try a receipe, rearrange a room, and try a new hobbie - (i.e., painting). Why not during the week plan what you are going to do on the those "special" two days. You have the power to redefine your weekends to be something special to you instead of a dreaded time.
