From what I've gathered (from your responses and other web resources), it does seem that the problem lies with depressing your CNS too far rather then with implicit toxicity of the benzo in the liver with the alcohol...
But also just in case anyone wants some extra insurance, much research has made find these 4 (main) supps you can get over counter that if taken before, after drinking/taking meds or just in general will probably provide alot of protection from liver damage to occuring and also help the liver heal itself. they are:1. SAM-E
2. sylmarin (milk thistle)
3. lecitin (which mimicks PPN, a drug avail in europe for treating serious liver problems)
4. N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)*------------------------------------
also what i have read about is that the amino acid l glutamine used in weight lifting when taken before going to drink protects your liver and also really reduces any negative effects the next day.regards
