I agree, but just to let you know. I had my last two children while I had been on TCA's (I was taken off each time I became pregnant) At that time (late 70's early 80's) there was no way they would have kept me on anything. Stangely, but happily, when I was pregnant or nursing a baby, my whole emotional makeup underwent a sharp change for the better. (A good thing as I have eight children) If I were you I would listen to the doc on this one. There is no way of knowing how the hormonal changes will effect you, Is this your first? Have you ever come off an SSRI before to know how you react?
