As for natural remedies, it depends on whether it's IBS-constipation vs IBS-diarreha (sp) type.
For diarreha-type, people say that the dieatary supplement calcium carbonate (not citrate!) is good. Absorbs water, slows things down in the gut.
For constipation-type, people say that the supplements probiotics, magnesium, and caprylic acid are good.
