A LOT of reading (I have lost track of how much, honestly, too much time in the medical library ;) ), classes, and a caring psychopharmacology professor at a major university that continually answered my questions and pointed me in the right direction to learn more. I would not call myself an expert by any means, more an enthusiast.
I hope you're not asking this because you think I appear arrogant or something, I try not to sound that way because I don't have a right to be ...
