Your pdoc thinks you abuse drugs. Do you agree? I am guessing you have been dx ADD or something like it, as that so? How long have you been treated? Did the treatments help? Were you given a tapering down time or just ripped off the drugs?

I don't know your history of course but benzo and speed are like ringing bells and dancing around saying ADDICT. this is sad because they can be used safely by many people who need them and are not addicts. But some pdocs and others will never see this. What treatment do you want? What treatment do you feel would help you, and what is the nature of your condition? I am just opening dialogue, feel free to ignore these questions, I am not prying, but trying to make more sense of your doctor's actions. good luck. ps. you could easily be having some wrenching withdrawal symptoms from your former meds. yiu'd have to wash out awhile to know if provigil is okay for you. it can be mildly anti-depressant. It only helped me focus in the middle of the night, leading to mania.
