Hi guys. I don't know if you remember, but I posted last week thinking that Lexapro had stopped being as effective for me. I think I have come to a new conclusion. I had been having one or two glasses of red wine every night (I know--bad, but please don't be harsh on me). I think that the wine had countered the effectiveness of the Lex. How I discovered this was this way--I had drunk the last bottle of wine that I had and did not bother to buy any more for about 5 days. I didn't really miss it, and I was so much happier. Then it dawned on me...Lex.... an antidepressant, alcohol, a depressant. (DUH!!!!) I decided to not have anymore daily wine, even though I enjoy the taste of wine with meals. Voila! I have been feeling like I did at week 8. I feel great about myself, am getting out and socializing (again) and don't have such negative feelings about the people around me. I am not saying that my life is perfect. I still have very lonely times, but the feelings I am having are normal. I recognize that. I would love to have that one special person with whom to share my life, but I am okay. (As long as I don't drink wine with dinner--LOL) I think to myself...you have your children, your health, your business....YOU ARE VERY LUCKY, BALI!!!! I am blessed. I have you guys, too, to vent to at 3:30 a.m. when I am awake with insomnia. I am going to take some
Benadryl now so I can hopefully sleep. Bali
Thanks for listening as I ramble.
