First I'd like to thank you for the many supportive and encouraging posts you've written. They have been invaluable in helping me through my first month on Lex.
I'm sorry to hear that your family thinks mental illness is something you can control. Many people are under that impression, and it's difficult for them to understand what you're going through unless they've been through something similar themselves. I know it's frustrating trying to convince them that what you have is an illness, maybe over time they'll come around. I hope so.
