Incredibly good!

I gained approximately 50 pounds. I could think of nothing but food. I felt hungry 15 minutes after consuming a huge meal. I tried exercising 5 times per week, eating a low fat diet, eating a low carbohydrate diet...everything! Nothing would take the weight off. I switched to Abilify right before Thanksgiving and have lost 30 pounds since - with minimal effort. HOWEVER, as my pdoc informs me repeatedly, Zyprexa does not have this effect on everyone. Some people (as the previous posts affirm) can actually lose weight while taking it.

I credit Zyprexa with saving my life. I have bipolar 1 and I literally destroyed my life during cycles of depression and mania. Within 3 months of initiating Zyprexa therapy, I achieved a sense of balance that I had never experienced before. My whole life turned around.
