"1. How long have you/were you on Zyprexa?"
Nearly 3 years
"2. What dose were you/are you on?"Mainly 5mg, but up to 10mg at one point, but back down to 5mg as that worked best for me
3. How was it's antidepressive effect?I don't really know.. its hard to look back and work out as I was alot iller back then. Sorry!
4. If weight gain was an issue in what way did you try to help this problem (ie medicine/exercise etc etc)?I gave into it and am now along the lines of beached whale. Docs wouldn't prescribe meds to help, I was too scared to go out and exercise (and flat way to small to do it inside!). The carb cravings were all consuming.. I needed pasta to survive it felt like. This is what finally made me give it up, along with improved health.
5. Please say some good words about Zyprexa- how it helped you.
It saved my life. Quite seriosuly it saved my life. Before zyprexa suicide / sepf harm was just about the only thing I thought about. All my time was spent with thinking about and planning my suicide.. how to do it, what hymns to have at my funeral, how would people react, what to say in my note etc etc. Zyprexa, while not totally clearing this up, made it livable.. Made me not totally obsess about it. It made me carry on with life as best as possible and not give in to the obsessive thoughts. Its my personal Wonder drug!!
