Actually honey itself _is a processed sugar_. In fact, honey is just as concentrated as table sugar (and can just as likewise also precipitate a hypoglycemic attack). But a processed or concentrated sugar is exactly what you want when you wish to quickly abort a hypoglycemic attack. And honey is exception. (The trick, of course, is to watch one's casual ingestion of concentrated sugar [including honey], so as to curb its potential for _triggering_ an attack.)
