These are good responses. My grandfather has suffered for years from psychotic symptoms brought on by levodopa and parkinson-associated dementia.
We eventually had to increase his dosage of Seroquel to the max. recommended in order to control the agitation and hallucinations (strange people in the house; ghosts in the walls, etc.).
A psychiatrist with experience in geriatrics would be the best person to consult here. I just wanted to let you know that anti-psychotics could probably help your mother's symptoms a lot, but you might eventually have to go to a fairly high dose.
Keep in mind that there might be better ways to control delirium induced by pain meds. A pain specialist might have some ideas.
