Just started Dexedrine, Need advise!

I've just started on 2.5 milligrams of dexedrine twice a day for ADD.
Not feeling anything from it at the moment, is that normal? I know this is a low dose.
My doc is planning to increase to 5 milligrams twice a day.
Does any one know what the normal dose for ADD is?

It feels quite strange to be taking Dex because its almost impossible to get prescribed for adults in the UK. I'm quite worried about my pairents finding out. My dad freaked out when I even mentioned the possibility of me taking Dex so I haven't told him.
