If you allow people to give fictitious names how can you verify that their stories are true? You might end up libeling an innocent person. And personally, if I had such a story to tell, I wouldn't dream of identifying myself to someone on an internet bulletin board who remained anonymous. There are plenty of journalists out there reporting on these stories already if I ever feel like I need to go out and name names.
