thank you. not being you, or your dr. i can't say. zoloft put me to sleep, and i have no experience with remeron---but i would not mix any meds. panic wil make your heart race and sometimes the bottom of you esophagus (where the food goes to your tummy)starts spasming---it's sort of near the heart. my 1st attack started with that. felt like my heart was flopping around.then i had jaw, left-arm and leg pain---and you probably know the feeing of 'i'm dying'. but you're not. i was so sure, i ended up in cardiac icu. the er team didn't like my pulse, what they saw on an ekg, my super-high cholesterol level---even my hands and feet were blue. they thought i was dying. that was 1985, they know more now. a whopper like that is known to do all or some of those things. one thing that causes panic is a very heavy meal. seems to put pressure on your 'gut' and hits normal people. i asked my dr. why you didn't see panicking people in reaurants. he said, 'because they'll be in an er an hour later.' i do know i would avoid benzos, that is what my 1st panick dr. advised. he was the best--retired proff and big-boss of neuro-surgery, university of michican. he was right. use a benzo once a month? no problem. everyday---big-time addiction---you don't want that---that is what i really know about panic. usually attacks just stop on their own. i'll look at remeron as a friend also asked me what was on the net---his mom's in a nursing home, and just put on it, and he wants me to print up the net info. i'll get back to you on this. meantime i wouldn't mix meds. i have. and got trouble. best
