> I have been taking for the last few days, a low dose of geodon(20mg),smallest available dose I might add, and it has been working great but there is a significant chance that I may have to stop it due to some potentially serious side effects.I have had terrible reactions to all anti-depressants and this drug has been the only one I can truly tollerate. And the only drug that seems to help my depression by INCREASING my emotion, not blunting it like the ssris have done.what I want to know is if there are any other drugs(from anyones personal experience) that seem to increase emotion because thats all need, I don't need to be happy or content or optimistic, just productive and able to FEEL!
I can certainly relate to your emotional flatness as well as your "scatterbrain." I have been struggeling with it since I was 16(23 now) and the only drug that ever helped was Adderal(stimulant for ADD). After taking it just once, life began to surge back through me and my mind began to clear. Unfortunately it stopped working for me when I started drinking again(only two or three times). No doctor has been able to tell me why. However if you haven't tried Adderall or something similar I would recommend considering it. PS- I had to convince my doc to let me try it because it is for attention defecit and not depression. Let me know if you want to know anyhting else about it or my experience.
