Its a longa nd depressing story. To make it short I dropped the pain meds out of fear I was becaoming "addicted". Out of fear that was the wrong thing to do I went to the first councelor the mental health clinic could get me into. I left there feeling totally patronized, looked down on and secretly labeled, by someone young enogh to be my daughter, no less. The pdoc I finally saw a week later, said "As worried as you are about becomiing addicted I dont think theres a problem"
I dont know what else to tell you> > > > Your case sounds like an over-generalizing physician who does not really know you. One thought is to find out who is an addiction specialist in your community--they may actually be more inclined to Rx for you, because they will see you are not an addict. -- Hang in there....
