Forgot to tell you that I also tried BuSpar and it made me sick to my stomach. Maybe I didn't give it enough time. I think a benzo is more likely to be the key because Ativan works well for me when I use it. I only use Ativan for acute anxiety and sleep problems, but haven't tried it on a daily basis for general anxiety.The night before last was the first time I went without Ambien or any sleep aid in a while. I had a terrible night and yesterday I was a practically a zombie. Tried to go to sleep last night and couldn't so I decided that I was killing myself by trying to go off sleep meds and Effexor at the same time. I took an Ativan and slept a solid 7 hours straight.
