Background is did not even realize it was depression until almost had a "melt down". On the Lexapro have started feeling like my old happy self and recognize that the behavior I was attibuting to others either didn't exist (on their part) or was in reaction to my own disfunction. Where do I go from here is - am I to stay on ADs forever, or should I just go with the flow and not worry about it for now? Family history is - grandmother institutionalized for pychotic behavior after post partum depression. Father alcoholic. Son is bi-polar.

Looking back, I believe I've had bouts of depression before but was untreated.
