i used to feel anxious around even my friends, but by chance i ended up doing something more anxiety-provoking, and now the everyday anxiety is much reduced and i'm back to being afraid of things that are more normal (speeches, talking to cute girls, etc) ...
but i definately credit meds for a lot of my success> i agree with djmmm for the most part, were my sp is not helped by increased exposure and practice in social situations , mine is centered around poor word processing even in none threating situations, extreme pessimism, even around family members who i live with etc...
