I have taken Wellbutrin with Paxil, Celexa, Lexapro and, currently, Zoloft. I am not a Paxil fan, but what doesn't work for one might work for another, so it's worth a try. In my case, I was on too high a dose of Paxil, courtesy my incompetent doc at the time, so I had major side effects - agitation, nausea, extreme jitteriness, insomnia, etc. etc. It was miserable.
But Wellbutrin itself has been good for me, as I've kept it as an augmentor to my other ADs. I can't take too high a dose of it either, however, without side effects. But I've experienced no problem in mixing it with the SSRIs.
>Also, I'm prescribed wellbutrin SR, but learned that there is a generic (75mg) for the "regular" Wellbutrin. The pharmacy is waiting to hear from my doctor. He's mean and rude, so I think he will want me to have to pay 80.00 instead of 40.00. Has anyone done this, had any luck?
Sorry, I can't speak to the generic here, as I wasn't aware of one. I'll be interested to hear what others have to say.
BTW - if you consider your doc 'mean and rude', perhaps you should consider finding a new doc. No reason you should have to put up with someone you don't like! Just my opinion, as I think my doc is great and want everyone to have the same experience.
