> I'm going to ask my pdoc to take me off it again. I failed last time. Any suggestions for going off meds so that I don't crash again? Last time I went from 3mg to 1.5 mg and felt very depressed. I know its' not for depression. I still felt out of control with my emotions. I swear this med numbs my feelings. I don't think I've cried since starting on it some 10 years ago. Anyway i am tired of being numb. Still i want off slowly so that I can handle the emotions. So I was thinking of asking to go off .5 mg at a time. Any agreements or is that being too rediculious? mouse
Certainly not! After 10 years being on it, i'd lower at a mAx. of .5mg each time (breaking pills or whatever). Take it slow. You'll get there. And as Ace said, benzos would probably help (as would other APs but that might be a bit counterproductive). Good luck.
