Traci,
Try taking two benadryl before bed. I do this. It works great and you don't wake up feeling groggy. Make sure you don't buy the non-drowsy formula. You don't need the name brand, I buy the Wal-Mart brand.> > Today is week 3 on Lex and the only side effect I have left is the inability to sleep more than 2 hours at night. I did experience the nausea, vertigo, shakes (skin crawled a little) and extreme jaw clenching (for about a week). I have been reading all the post over the last few days and find it very inspiring and encouraging to know that Lex is working for many of you! I believe it kicked in for me 2 days ago, it was almost as if someone turned on the lights. Very bizarre! I believe I may have been suffering with Depression as far back as 1994 (after the birth of my son). I have a Thyroid condition that has been under treatment for about 2 years and a long family history of depression. With all the added stress and change that has occurred in my life over the past 6 months I believe elevated the condition and have lead to minor panic attacks.

> Hi Traci, isnt that lights coming on thing weird and wonderful at the same time. I remember when it started happening to me. I was sitting at the computer after midnight. I realized I was not depressed and then I was afraid to sleep. Because if I slept I may not have that feeling when I woke up. The insomnia thing Im not sure Im qualified to answer. All my life Ive had insomnia. The funny thing is when I started lex I fell asleep early for a couple of months. Then when I got better I was back to insomnia. I think it has more to do with my normal old self. I dont mind as long as I dont go through that hell again. But going by posts from this board and others things should get better for you in the sleep department. You are right you have a long ways to go. Just remember you will still have bad days just like every person living on the face of the earth. Just tell yourself this is a bad day and tomorrow will be different. TAKE CARE!!!
