> Need some help from anyone out there! I have been on Lex for about 11 weeks, doesn't seem to be making a significant change in my anxiety at all. I have gained over 10 lbs. and have some of the normal side effects. My doc is suggesting I switch to Paxil...need some guidance on this. Not sure about switching..I don't know that much about Paxil and how it is better/worse than Lexapro. Can anyone provide their own experiences? Any help would be appreciated!
Hi there, I cant give advice on the paxil since my bad experience was an allergic reaction. I dont want to try to talk you into staying on the lex. But I will say Im at about week 16 and Im losing more anxiety each week. But I also suffered bad panic attacks begore the lex. Here are messages about paxil, just run through them and you can get some info from people tht are taking it. One more thing you wont know if paxil will work unless you try it. No matter how many good or bad things you read its their experience and not yours. It might be the right med, nobody can tell you for sure!! GOOD LUCK!!
