I know it is hard but you really have to wait at least SIX weeks and probably eight--I have never felt a lot better until eight weeks into a med but that is my experience and you may be different but I remain unconvinced that you can feel true, even slight, AD effects from any SSRI, or SSRI type meds, in less than two or three weeks--that is for unipolar depressives, I don't know about you bipolars and bipolar II's.

> JACKI guees you misunderstood because I am not complaing about the Effexor I am really pleased that I don't have all the ugly side effects that I have been hearing about in different posts I just don't understand how they can stay on the meds. The other thing is that I am not bipolar 1 or 2 I have GAD and I am depressed a lot of the time or rather irritated by everything just about all of the time. Then I get irritated from being irritated all the time. Funny huh?:) Anyways, I feel like Effexor has been starting to work and I am really happy about that. You siad that the ad's usually take up too at least four to six weeks to actually feel the effects of it so I was wondering, how does it feel when it starts working? What changes should I look for? the other question I had is what is unipolar?
