I've been using periactin to counteract some of the side effects of Celexa. At firts the drug improved the insomnia 100% and still does. I have only one other side effect.
I have developed visual halucinations. At first things seemed remarkably quaint, visual shimmering etc. Now the fronts of cars look like faces, and railroad ding-dongs look like knights with swords. I have never been so calm in my life. I feel like I am closer to God. But, at the same time disconected from people. It seems like objects are just as human as humans are. Distance disturbances like trees growing as I watch them.
I obviously have to discontiue the periactin.
It's probably similar to LSD. I take the periactin which blocks HT2a then the Celexa which gives it more serotonin (when the periacin wears off).
It is sad because emotionally felt normal.
