I can't comment on Parnate as I never had taken it, but I can say that for me the lowering of blood pressure caused by Nardil has never gotten a whole lot better after a year. I used to take medication for hypertension but there is no way I need to do that now. But on the other hand I have never really had any problems with fainting until last week. I didn't actually faint, but came close and caught myself after standing in the same position for a long time. From there my Doctor lowered the dose, and a few days later I was crying like a baby. Needless to say I'm going to increase the dose again.
I didn't mean to run on, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that Nardil will keep your blood pressure down, and while some of the symptoms might lessen (dizziness, headache) that fact hasn't changed for me in a year. Of course some people's MMV, but it sounds like you're extra sensitive to lowered bp, so I would be careful either way.
Good luck,
Kelly
