Parnate can cause low blood pressure when you first start taking it which can cause fainting. From what I read this initial HYPOtension often reverses itself and you can even experience a mild temporary HYPERtension after each med dose. A systolic BP rise of up to 20mm can occur up to 2 hrs. following each dose. I would stick with the med if you can for 4-6 weeks. Side effects are said to decrease with continued use.
If your taking 20mg. in one dose splitting the dose can help.
I started on Parnate 3 days ago so I've been downloading as much info as possible on it. I'm on 10mg BID and hope to increase to 30mg/day next week. 30mg is considered the minimum effective dose.

Hope all goes well-
Paul
