Re: Buspar +/- augmentation meds for SP

In reply to Buspar +/- augmentation meds for SP, posted by Rocket Jackson on May 14, 2003, at 2:25:34

I've tried Buspar by itself and with other meds. I never noticed it having any appreciable effect on my sp. No major side effects, at least.

I'm aware of Buspar's "slower," non-benzo properties and its indication for GAD, but I'm wondering if it might at least help to decrease some of the day to day anticipatory anxiety some of us feel. As a med student on my Psychiatry rotation, I was told on a few occasions by professors that Buspar basically equates to water, so I'm not quite sure what to think about this med. Any ideas?
