I was on lex 3 1/2 months, also klonopin. Now I just take klonopin. With lex, I had severe nightmares, my teeth would "chatter", sharp pains shooting in the left side of my head, extreme fatigue, heart pounding. Not all of the s/e happened at the same time or every day. I would often awake in the middle of the night and arms or legs would be straight up in the air. Not a restful sleep situation. Gained 10 lbs. Probably from inactivity and total lack of motivation.
Without it I may wake up on average one morning a week and feel like crying for no reason but I can pull myself out of that state with a walk outside or phone call with a friend. It is good to be free of the s/e of lex. I know that 10 mg was the maximum dose I took, thinking that the increase from 5 would help. It made things worse. Perhaps I could tolerate 2.5 but I say why? I need less Klonopin (max .5 mg/day) without the lex. I had been on ad's for 7 years and will be very careful about the potential relapse into deep depression. But for now I feel better without any ad. It has been almost 8 weeks since my last dose.
