I take both Prozac and Straterra. Prozac (and Paxil and one other(?) SSRI) do impact Straterra. Other SSRIs do not. If you take Prozac, then you should consider yourself a "Poor Metabolizer" for Straterra. This means that you would need much less Straterra to get the same result. I'm thinking it is half as much, but I'd check the literature to be sure.
This said, I started slow (10mg) on Straterra and worked up 10mg every 4 days. I got to 40mg (where my pdoc was going to stop), but there was evidence that it was a really good drug for me yet there wasn't enough improvement yet. I am now at 80mg (an enormous amount for a poor metabolizer) and it is working really well. Just goes to show that everyone is different.
I had some nausea with the Straterra, but it has gone away with time. I think starting slow and working up helps control the nausea.
