Sounds like depersonalization. My girlfriend actually experienced a worsening of depersonalization after being put on low-dose Risperdal. That is of course, just a single experience - and it may or may not have even been caused by the Risperdal.

From the information I've gathered, benzodiazepines are usually the most effective drugs in treating depersonalization/derealization symptoms. Which is not suprising, considering DP is generally the result of excessive anxiety.

But, who knows, if your doc says it helps some of his patients, then maybe it will help you too. As far as TD goes, at the lowest doses, it's an extremely unlikely side effect. Not saying you shouldn't be concerned about the possibility, but there isn't a need for overconcern either - talk it over with your doc.
