I was taking Resperdal, and I'm not psychotic either. I take Seroquel for sleep-100mg, another med that may cause tardive dyskenisia which may not happen until down the road or if at all. That worries me a little. I guess we're all different. It also made me bloated, and gain about 15 Lbs. I wish you the best of luck-I wish I could have had more positive for ya-just my experience,
Kristen

I am not psychotic, but my shrink wants me to consider a very low dose of Risperdal for this disjointed feeling I often get. (It's as if parts of me are outside of me. He says he's had patients shake this feeling for the first time in their lives after trying this drug at a low dose.) For one thing, I dont know if I want to add ONE MORE DAMN DRUG to the diet.
And for another, I'm kinda curious about side effects. One is tardive dyskenisia, which sounds scary. Is this effect permanent?
Another, less serious but enough to bum me out just the same, is weight gain.
I would appreciate hearing from anybody who has had experience with this drug. Thanks!
