Well I made it a point to keep in mind all along that the wonderful effects from the Provigil were just too good to be true. And I guess I've proven myself right once again; Friday I developed a debilitating headache from it that absolutely prohibits me from continuing to take it. So now I'm being referred for a "second opinion" (shouldn't it be 866th opinion by now?) and am to begin seeing some doctor 80 miles away in Houston sometime next month. My current pdoc, as well as three past pdocs, including the one from MHMR, are passing along the word that basically only the most radical treatments are even worth trying at this point. Seeing as how I've already done the opioid thing, I'm pretty skeptical--cynical even--at this point. I'm just about ready to pack up and move to Europe so I can just do some Dutch 'self-medicating'. Anything to avoid the inevitable alcoholism-trap that's not too far off. Though absinthe *is* legal over there... that could be a problem in itself.....
Okay, I'm just rambling now. I guess my mind's pretty made up. If this doctor is as stumped as everyone else is, I guess there's nothing keeping me here.
Ideas?...Anyone?...
