Can Seroquel be used in Depression/Anxiety?

Posted by Mikey_C on March 5, 2003, at 8:23:20

Hey all, just wanted to get your opinions on this one. I'm not psychotic as far as I know, and I'm definitely not schizoprehenic (sp?) yet I have been placed on Seroquel. I've never become delusional, have never had vivid hallucinations, and have never heard a single peep from any voices.

However, I do have a fairly severe anxiety disorder, a fairly severe depressive disorder, some difficulties from post-traumatic stress, and before this past year I abused drugs heavily for about 10 years. I have also had a lot of problems dealing with any SSRIs in the past.

I'm just wondering what this would actually work for... my anxiety or my depression or both?

Whenever I look it up on the Net I see that it's used just for psychosis and schizoprhenia, neither of which I have.

Thanks,

Mike
