Some medications cause blood pressure to fall upon standing up. This is called orthostatic hypotension. One feels like one is about to pass out. The condition is fairly unserious and seems to go away in time. The thing to do is sit down. This returns blood pressure to normal. Standing up slowly helps too. SSRIs usually don't cause this though. Are you on any other drugs? The older TCAs were notorious for causing this.
