effexor and memory loss

I have been on effexor xr for almost three years now. I am noticing frequent memory loss. Like; did I eat lunch, did I say that, did I take my meds, did I turn that off. I don's have any other side effects, not ones that bother me anyway.
It is very frusterating and embarassing. I'm afraid it may get worse, early alzheimers?
please let me know if this is normal.
Should I get off the meds.
