Sounds like atypical depressive symptoms or bipolar depressive ones. SSRI's *never* worked by themselves during my bipolar depressive episodes. I had to add a stimulant, a TCA, or Wellbutrin to snap me out of it. WB makes me tense as well. Nortriptyline didn't, and helped energy and reduced anxiety further. Stims probably would make you too uptight. You might tinker with a little Provigil (I haven't tried that one yet-too expensive).
