In reply to clinical trials anyone?, posted by LA on February 4, 2003, at 12:24:52

I have tried to post 3 times and lost it all with the touch of a key, so please bear with me.

Thanks for your responseS. I'll try to be clear and answer your questions.
I suffer from depression.
Currently I have been on Effexor xr 300mg 5 months. It's not working. Added Lexapro for one week and stopped.

My Primary said she didn't feel comfortable increasing my dose or changing medications, there was nothing left for her to prescribe and would have to refer me to a psychiatrist.(which would not be covered by my insurance) She said my being allergic to prozac disqualifies me from taking an entire class of ad's. I have also taken nardil, and wellbutrin.

The trial is in N.J.. Clinic Trials. Celexa and risperdone(sp). I think I mentioned before both are fda approved, but not together. I found someone else on the board who said they had taken this combination with very good results.

What do you mean by getting kicked out of the trials?

All I know is at this point I have to get off the effexor. I can not function at all and things seem to be getting worse.
