I think maybe you should consider the Nardil in combo with CBT. I know CBT doesn't work when you are severely depressed but you seem to have beaten depression, you just still have some residual OCD. It seems like someone in this state is PERFECT for CBT to permanently wipe out your OCD. Don't get me wrong, I am not one of those anti-medication nuts. I believe in medication but I also believe that there is no magic pill that is going to cure everything. . . .
I did CBT for years. In many respects it made OCD worse (along with Exposure & Response prevention. I don't believe you can talk a broken leg into healing. Same with biochemical issues. I think the CBT helps to live with the disease, not to treat it. CBT helped depression minimally. Nothing really helped my anxiety. Believe I did everything. I had heaps & heaps of self help books.
I believe their is a magic pill, or at least a combo. You hear of these ridiculous numbers of 40% relief from SSRI, so you then need CBT. Nonsense I say. Plenty of people find the right drug or combo to fix their symptoms 95-100%.
Just a thought and I truly don't mean to come off as condenscending, it just seems like you keep looking for something to bring you to a perfect state and I don't know if medication is the thing that is going to 100% conquer our illnesses.
Do you do any therapy Jack? Tell me your experiences. You don't sound condescending, it's just your view, which is perfectly fine.> Jack
