In reply to Klonopin- no drive to talk- but what about others?, posted by utopizen on January 16, 2003, at 15:14:58
Xanax certainly makes me much more outgoing... even extroverted, but not disinhibited or anything. It's especially great as an add-on to Klonopin.
As for Valium, it seems to just succeed in making me more depressed when taken alone (and from reading the other posts on this board, I gather this is none too uncommon). I remember you posted a couple times to a thread I started just a few days ago concerning my own medication dilemma-- Just yesterday I got in touch with a doctor in Houston (80 miles away, but he's agreed to conduct appointments via phone) who will accept Medicaid. He faxed in prescriptions for 2mg Xanax qid, 20mg Valium bid, 4mg sublingual Ativan prn, and Klonopin 4mg bid + 30mg bid every other Sunday. Combined with the others, the Valium is doing just great. I'm sure I'll be sticking with this combo, I haven't felt so good in years.
