Since starting it, and up through Day 26 (today) I've had trouble BREATHING on the Desipramine! Rapid heart beat too. Never had this happen, and it's not because of other meds (so I'm told).

Tricyclics and stimulants generally don't mix too well. I got a red flag at the pharmacy once because of an old TCA script on my record when I filled some Ritalin. Desipramine gave me a pounding heart (at 10mg/day!). The half-life of desipramine ranges up to around 46 hours depending on how rapidly you can get rid of it. If you were to discontinue (desipramine) today that would take approx. 10-14 days or more to fully wash out. I certainly wouldn't want to add anything else until it was gone and your symptoms were also gone. Also, reboxetine inhibits the enzyme that helps to eliminate the desipramine from your body. So starting reboxetine without getting rid of the desipramine would likely make your symptoms far worse. You might even consider a dose reduction of the dexedrine in the meantime until you can get the desipramine washed out. What does your doctor say about your symptoms?
