I've been on Nardil for about 2 months, and have been quite surprised at how many foods have yeast extract in them. I don't really know what it is, I just know to avoid it.
Yeast extract is found in a lot of packaged foods: rice/pasta mixes, soups, some veggie burgers, salad dressings, boullion cubes . . . I am very diligent about reading food labels and if I'm eating out and don't have access to the food labels, I just don't eat it.
I hope this helps, if I find a good link that explains yeast extract, I'll post it.
