Hey, keep posting. My mom cut out an article the other day (that syndicated vitamin couple's column, "The People's Pharmacy," that mentioned the fish oil study (EPA, specifically) from the Journal of American Psychiatry (?). She called me and said, "Remember that fish oil you bought? Take it!"
I believe the folks in the study took a gram, and it augmented their ADs (all were on ADs). It was a significant study. And taking a couple mg. of fish oil isn't likely to hurt anyone. Many would argue that it's better to eat fish and get the nutritional benefits, but how much fish can you eat to get that much Omega 3 every day?
Anyway, I haven't slept without a sleeping pill in the middle of the night for several weeks. I took 2,000 mg. of fish oil (half after lunch, half after dinner) and slept about 6 hours. I woke up at 3:30 a.m. too excited to go back to sleep.
Let's hope this is just the boost I need to get me over this insomnia hump.
