In Aug 2000, Abbott discontinued Desoxyn Gradumet(R), their brand name slow-release version of their brand name methamphetamine. They blamed "manufacturing difficulties" and it happened with short notice. This was an all-day release formulation that came in two or three different available doses.

They continue to have short-release Desoxyn 5mg, that's it. Unfortunately, people still think Desoxyn was entirely discontinued... on the plus side, once you convince your doc to get you on Desoxyn, you don't also have to convince him into the short-release, which use to be hard to convince since it was seen as more abusable... even though both were abused extensively.
